Storing Tent Canopy
Storing tent canopy is something not many people will think about. Once the canopy is out of the original box it will most often be placed in a garage or basement. To truly protect the investment, however, canopy storage is an important step.

Make sure the canopy is clean and dry. Packing a damp canopy or tent will result in mildew build up and ruin the coating used for waterproofing; storing a tent canopy wet for more than a few days can cause damage.
A portable canopy or storage shed has many uses depending on where you live and what the needs are. A large portable canopy is often used as an additional garage to protect a car or boat during the winter, equipment storage and workshop space are also popular uses. A storing box for tent canopy may refer more to a carry bag than an actual box, however, if a box is chosen for storage it is important to note that it should be kept in a dry space, free of water and humidity all of which can cause damage to the canopy material. Should the canopy be stored in this way, every attempt should be made to keep as many as the poles intact as possible. This will prevent possible damage to the joints when it comes time to put it together again, while also cutting down on the time it takes to erect the canopy.
