Awnings

Awnings are one of the first things added to a house or patio as summer comes closer. Rigid metal awnings and canopies can protect doors and windows from rain and wind and can be custom made to fit your specific measurements. A metal door awning is an inexpensive way to enhance the look of a home or office, while protecting the entryway from the weather. In addition, awnings can add style to a building when coordinated with color and decorative designs. Exterior awnings come in different styles to include canopy style and dome retractable awnings, which are the best for windows in the front, side or rear of a home or business. With dyed acrylic fabric awning material they can reduce interior heat by 77 percent. In addition, researchers have found that the reason most people will purchase shade and lowering the electric bill are the top reasons retractable awnings are purchased and used in homes and businesses.

A different type of awning is a carefree awning, the first automatic roll up awning; the brand has grown to include a full line of RV patio awnings. Carefree also offers awnings for slide outs, power ventilation systems for all RV’s and is considered one of the best products in the RV industry.

One of the most common awnings is the deck awning. Retractable deck awnings can work with nearly any architectural style. The powder coated awning frames are durable enough to withstand the elements, yet maintain the flexibility and beauty. Decks, however, are not the only thing that needs to be covered, with many awnings and canopies being used to cover not only patios, but terraces, balconies, poolside’s or Jacuzzi’s. Pools and Jacuzzi’s are some of the most important, as the awnings can protect them from leaves, insects and the sun rays when laying out, as a hot sun will often keep us inside. If a retractable awning is not possible for a time near the pool, a caravan awning is an easy solution. With its portability and compact size it is easy to set up, easy to store and provides the protection needed when time outside is desired.

When deciding on an awning be sure to research what will work best for the area and take time to read reviews, especially when it comes to lesser known brands. Purchasing lower priced awnings may not be worth it if the company is not reputable.
